Matching Assessment with Photographs of Scars (MAPS) is a photographic standard that clinicians can refer to when assessing the healing of a scar.
MAPS was created by the Royal Adelaide Hospital in 2005 and has been validated for use in clinical settings.
The ClinMAPS PRO app allows for greater ease of use of the scale and increased functionality. It now allows clinicians to input scar assessment parameters and summarizes the data into a printable report.
The app also incorporates the Vancouver Scar Scale assessment tool, as well as Patient Reported Outcomes. This functionality improves convenience for clinicians and patients when assessing scar healing.
